Written for the Newgrounds Mall Collab, I was trying to make something kind of similar to Neighbourhood 2 from The Sims soundtrack but I think I should've studied it more before starting to write something. A lot of the time when I write something with a specific song for inspiration I forego looking into the composition and just wing it based on what I heard. Sometimes I end up with something cool, like Funny Cat which was made after listening to Crescendolls by Daft Punk. It's kind of obvious if you compare the melody made by the sample and the bassline in Funny Cat, which is sort of the downside of doing it this way, sometimes instead of using the theory in the song you just plagarize it a little bit. Usually it's better to actually look into how the song is written and learn about why it sounds the way it does instead of just guessing, which I always learn way more from than fiddling around by ear.
The banner art I used is an edited version of art made by TeffyD, who also hosted the collab.
